
Specifies a VLAN ID of the MAC entry to be displayed.

Command Output
The show hardware mac-entry command output displays the following information.
Output field Description
Total FDB entries The total number of entries in the Forwarding Database
(FDB).
Index The ID of the MAC entry.
MacAddress The MAC address of the entry.
Vlan The VLAN ID of the MAC entry.
Trunk/Port The trunk ID or port number of the MAC entry.
Device The hardware device number.
Type The route type, which can be either static or dynamic.
Age The number of minutes the MAC entry has remained
unused.
SA-Cmd The source address command type, which can be any
one of the following:
• trap-CPU
• forward
• mirror
Da-Cmd The destination address command type, which can be
any one of the following:
• trap-CPU
• forward
• mirror
Examples
The following is a sample output from the show hardware mac-entry command for the specific device
with a MAC address of 0000.0090.5eb4 and a VLAN ID of 1.
Brocade# show hardware mac-entry device 0 0000.0090.5eb4 1
